Couples Retreat at the Wilds |

The first weekend in October, four couples from our class packed into the big red van and headed down to the Wild's Christian Camp and Conference Center near Brevard, NC. We left early on a Thursday morning and drove to Pigeon Forge, TN, where we spent the night. We did some shopping on Friday morning and then took the scenic route from Pigeon Forge to the Wilds. Everything was as beautiful as we had remembered it being, and the Lord blessed us with gorgeous weather to enjoy all the fall colors. Greg Mazak, an area pastor and college professor, spoke on Choosing to Love your Spouse and gave us all plenty to think about. When we weren't in sessions, we were either eating outstanding meals at the dining hall or having fun with each other doing everything from hiking to human foosball (Brent's favorite). We all climbed back into the van early Sunday morning for the long drive home with many wonderful memories and hopes of making the trip again next fall.
